Hey, I’m Tim
I’m a creative generalist with a particular passion for product design and the problem solving that comes with it. In college, I built an award-winning web app to connect students with area homeowners for project-based labor. I then began my professional career with IBM, designing products for Fortune 500 companies in industries like healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and finance. The variety was great, but the bloated corporate structure, not so much. I eventually found the work that energizes me most: collaborating with early-stage startups, where I can create across disciplines, tap into my entrepreneurial side, and help shape a cohesive vision from the ground up. Outside of Chute, my time is spent writing and producing music, baking bread, designing sports jerseys, and beating Brien at ping-pong.

Hi, I’m Brien
I’m an experienced brand designer that loves telling stories through identity, illustration, and motion. While my work spans a wide range of creative disciplines, branding has always been at the center of what I do. Early in my career, I worked in visual effects for major film productions, but over time found myself drawn less to the technical side and more to the challenge of building brands, shaping ideas, and creating visual experiences that connect with people. Since then, I’ve worked with agencies, startups, small businesses, and global brands across a wide range of industries. When I’m not designing, you’ll find me digging through a thrift store, looking for a pickup basketball game, or tinkering with an old vehicle that probably belongs in a junkyard. Oh, and definitely not losing to Tim at ping-pong.
How it all started...
We first met in the middle of a forest not far from the city of Bend, Oregon thanks to a fateful Craigslist post for a free Mr. Buddy Heater. We both spent years living nomadically in vehicles -- Tim in a school bus he designed and built himself, and Brien in a classic Westfalia camper van with impeccable thrifted decor. Together, we’ve adventured through the mountains of the PNW, the deserts of the American Southwest, and the beaches of Baja, Mexico.
